How it all began.

MEET JACK AND DANIELLE

Jack grew up in the English countryside with a passion for woodworking and an appreciation for quality handmade goods. He learned to value tradition, craftsmanship and integrity – all values passed down from his father. Years later, he moved to Toronto, Canada and started Son Of A Woodcutter Inc – which is today known as Acre Made.

Danielle grew up in a small town not far from the location of Acre Made’s current production facility. She later lived in Toronto and Montreal, where an extensive career in the fashion industry ignited a passion for design and fulfilling the unique needs of clients. Together the duo brings strong design skills, quality craftsmanship and a high level of customer service to all of Acre Made’s clients.

A note from Acre Made

After 10 successful years of production in Toronto, we decided we wanted more room to breathe, the ability to slow life down a bit and build our dream workspace. What we found was a rural property with a home, a garden, barns and the perfect 10,000 sq ft production facility all right on the property. This new space has enabled us to build a higher quality product while minimizing waste and our impact on the environment (all the while saying a big goodbye to commercial rent in Toronto!)

In our new home we are able to enjoy time outside with our dogs and a slower way of living, all while building beautiful pieces of furniture. We like to think we have created a balance of country living while still having strong ties to the city and the Toronto culture that we still have so much of a passion for.
